Rachel Platten's "Stand By You" tops Adult Pop Songs category at Billboard

Rachel Platten’s “Stand By You” tops the Adult Pop Songs category at Billboard. She has replaced her own song “Fight Song”, which had been leading the chart for four weeks beginning in August. The news was first reported by Billboard.

The songs are from her third studio album Wildfire which debuted at No. 5 on Billboard Top 200. “Fight Song” previously appeared on Platten’s Fight Song EP, which reached No. 20 on the chart in August.

It’s not the first time that Platten has been a top player on the Adult Pop category. In early 2012, Platten’s song  “1,000 Ships”  posited itself in Billboard Top 200 at No. 23.

In a conversation with Billboard last year, she said:

“I had some successes, as well, but it didn’t really feel like I had a chance anymore. [But], if nobody else believes in you, you have to believe in yourself.”

In 2003, Rachel Platten released her debut album Trust In Me which she called ‘a collection of demos’. She released her second album Be Here from Rock Ridge Music in 2011.

Congratulations Rachel Platten! We hope to hear more amazing songs from you.
