According to a report from Page Six, Miley Cyrus recently told the hosts of Capital Breakfast With Roman Kemp on Tuesday that she loves a good pat-down at the airport. Cyrus said she refuses to remove much of her jewelry while going through TSA security resulting in what she described as a “love-hate” relationship with them.

Cyrus told the host of the show that the TSA agents love to hate her because, on the one hand, they hate the fact she never takes her jewelry off, but on the other hand, they like to do the “pat-down.” Cyrus said she enjoys the pat-down from the agents because she enjoys the “human touch.”

One star who doesn’t seem to like it was Diana Ross, who, during her trip to another city for a concert festival, was patted down by TSA agents. She said on stage that the experience was awful, and wondered why they treated her in such a way.

Ever since the attacks on the 11th of September, 2001, flying in the United States has become significantly more stressful, for celebrities and the general public as well. Traveling by air has become a continuous cultural conversation ever since the attacks 18 years ago.

While the TSA is a federal government agency, much of the public doesn’t disassociate the trouble with airlines, that are private companies, and the treatment from TSA agents.

This comes at a time when airlines and other air-traffic companies have found themselves in considerable hot-water. Perhaps, the most egregious was the case of the David Dao, who was forcibly removed from an airplane one evening due to the airline over-booking the plane.

David Dao and his legal team reached an undisclosed settlement for the fiasco with the airline. The incident was shared on YouTube and social media and it sparked a massive outcry in the United States.

Moreover, The Washington Post reported that many in China believe Mr. David Dao was pulled off the plane because of his Chinese heritage. While one can only speculate on the reasoning, The Post wrote that people in China thought his Asian heritage played a crucial role in their decision to choose them.
