Amy Jo Johnson is an American/Canadian actress and singer. She plays Kimberly Hart, the Pink Ranger, in the Power Rangers franchise. She is also known for her roles on the series Felicity, The Division, and Flashpoint. She became a Canadian citizen in 2015.

Amy is the daughter of Christine Loella and Greig A. Johnson II. Her mother died of cancer in August 1998 at age 52.

Amy’s paternal grandfather was Greig Adams Johnson (the son of Montgomery Hunt Johnson and Frances Lillian Munger). Montgomery was the son of Arthur Breese Johnson and Elisabeth/Elizabeth Stringham “Eliza” Hunt. Arthur’s father was philosopher Alexander Bryan Johnson, who was born in Gosport, Gosport Borough, Hampshire, England, to a Dutch-born mother; he is said to have been of Jewish heritage. Arthur’s mother was Abigail Louisa Smith Adams, who was the granddaughter of U.S. President John Adams, making President Adams, Amy’s great-great-great-great-great-grandfather. President Adams served from March 4, 1797 to March 4, 1801; and was previously also Vice President of the United States, from April 21, 1789 to March 4, 1797. Amy’s great-grandmother Elisabeth Hunt was the daughter of jurist and politician Ward Hunt, who was Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals, from January 12, 1868 to December 31, 1869, and an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, from January 9, 1873 to January 27, 1882. Amy’s great-grandmother Frances was the daughter of Henry Gillett/Gillette Munger and Ellen Arvilla Searles.

Amy’s paternal grandmother was named Marilyn Twite.

Amy’s maternal grandfather was Fernando Gonsalves (the son of Albert Gonsalves and Charlotte Pereira). Fernando was born in the Azores, Portugal.

Amy’s maternal grandmother was Anita Alice Benoit (the daughter of George Emile Benoit and Loella Erdelinda Howes). Anita was born in Massachusetts. George was the son of Joseph Emile Benoit and Elizabeth Laliberte. Leolla was the daughter of Nathaniel E. Howes and Caroline/Carrie H. Lord.
